News and tips from our local trainers by Caroline Baldock

We have had some winners and seconds. These are the horses to follow:

Adam West trains Vegus Jack and he came up and won at Epsom so keep an eye on him.

We think Buy the Dip, trained by Jim Boyle needed a bit more cut in the ground. He was 3rd last month and he will certainly win soon.  Bynse Botos won at Kempton and is sure to come out again soon.  Jim has a nice horse there. I really liked Lumancho trained by Pat Phelan, a lovely filly with a great stride and nice conformation. She will go far I think.

Meieri is also trained by Jim Boyle and came second, beaten a neck, at Newbury. Watch out for that one too. Also a horse called Sparked he was second at Windsor. Must like the soft, so put him on your list.

But I have real news – Joe Loverage bred and trained a filly he calls Tears of a Clown. She won a race at Windsor. A goose or swan got in the way of the horses and took out the favourite. Joe thought it was a bit of a fluke. Well he sadly sold her for a good deal of dosh and now she has come third in a listed race at Newbury.  Keep an eye out for that one.

Redredrobin is a little horse with a big heart, he won at Epsom and last Friday came second. He is trained by Malcolm Saunders in Wells. Keep an eye out for him too.  It is the famous Ebor Festival at York so get on a train and go and have some fun. Adam West has two horses running at the Ebor Festival, Nelson Rose in the Nursery Stakes and Live in the Dream in the Nunthorpe. Could be a very god week for Adam West.

Good Luck!
