Who We Are
Tattenham & Preston Residents (T&PR) is a not for profit association representing the interests of the residents of the Tattenham Corner and Preston Ward of the Borough of Reigate & Banstead. A ward is a geographical local authority area used for electoral purposes.
We nominate our own candidates to stand as councillors to Surrey County Council and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council, and as such are necessarily registered as a political party. Currently we have three councillors representing the Ward on the borough council and one on the county council.
The Personal Data We Process
We may hold contact information consisting of:
- Names, addresses and email addresses of members and newsletter subscribers
- Names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers of committee members, officers, councillors and road stewards who deliver newsletters and other T&PR communications
What We Do With Your Personal Data
Under The Data Protection Act 2018 everyone responsible for using personal data has to follow strict rules called “data protection principles”. Known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we must ensure that all informaion collected is used fairly, lawfully and transparently.
We collect data that is given to us by you via our website, by telephone, post, email or through other means.
This information is used primarily to distribute T&PR communications to members and subscribers and also to maintain a database of members and subscriptions paid.
Contact information relating to committee members, officers and road stewards is used to manage internal communications within T&PR.
Who We Share Data With
Under GDPR we are known as the data controller. We may share your data with third party service providers who provide services to us. These are known as data processors. We currently use a third party service to collect, store and use data to distribute communications by email or other means.
Keeping Data Secure
All personal information is stored securely by our officers in password protected files. No third parties, apart from our service provider, have access to this information. Data will not be used for any purpose other than communicating with members and subscribers and managing membership information.
How Long Information Will Be Kept
Information will only be retained for the duration of your membership and subscription with T&PR. You will be able to unsubscribe at any time via our email communications.

We do not use cookies to monitor our website activity but do provide links to other websites that may store your data. This notice does not cover links to other sites and users should check such site’s privacy statements if concerned.
