As part of the fire safety prevention and protection work that Surrey Fire and Rescue Service carry out, we offer a service to the residents of Surrey called a ‘Safe and Well Visit’.The risk of fire is ever present and can cause serious damage and result in tragic consequences. We are committed to working with you to reduce and eliminate the causes of fire in the home.
Safe and Well Visits are carried out by Surrey Fire and Rescue Officers and in some instances, our volunteers. They combine home safety checks to reduce the risk of fire in the home and where appropriate, information to help you improve your wellbeing, allowing you to live safer and more independent lives.
As part of this service, we can undertake an inspection of your property to carry out important safety checks, fit new smoke alarms and / or other fire protective equipment if required. The visit only lasts approximately 30 minutes and there is no cost to this.
