How many Committee Members does it take to put up a poppy ?
Last year was a bit of a learning curve for our Committee Members. See below ! However having learned the hard way your ever resilient committee this year put up over 220 poppies covering more than three and a half miles, all in the space of just over 4 hours, even getting time for a well earned coffee break.
Working in teams we started at Tattenham Corner, worked our way along Great Tattenhams with a slight detour for Tattenham Crescent and Garlichill Road, then progressed up Merland Rise, through Preston Lane and finished up at Marbles Way.

Having done the easy roads we then took on the major A217 Brighton Road ending up at the Romans big boys toys showrooms.
All this is leading up to Remembrance Sunday on November 14th and promoting the British Legion’s ongoing Poppy Day appeal.
