Almost 1000 Residents Enjoyed the Preston Community Event

Preston Park, by the Tadworth Leisure Centre, hosted its third Community Event last Saturday. It was a great day with the weather staying fine and many local families enjoying a day out, estimated at almost 1,000 visitors.
The event was organised by Maria Hewson, Community Development Worker for Preston and over 30 local organisations took part. There was plenty for children to see and do including a bouncy castle, wild animal display, football sessions, outdoor gym, and a host of games to play.
Entertainment was provided by the SING choir and sustenance from a tea and cake stall, barbeque, and ice cream van.
The police and fire brigade were also very popular with the children and the NHS were even offering Covid jabs.

Here are some photographs from the day.
