On Sunday the 8th May Councillor Jill Bray opened her garden to raise funds for Age Concern Banstead and YMCA East Surrey.
Jill is one of our three local councillors, and at that time was coming to the end of her year as Mayor of Reigate & Banstead. Age Concern Banstead and YMCA East Surrey were her two nominated mayoral charities.
It was a beautiful day and 140 people paid £4 to visit Jill’s Garden and relax over a cup of tea and a slice of home-made cake.
The day raised £2,250 for Jill’s two charities.
Jill wants to thank all her friends who helped make those delicious cakes and serve refreshments including Joanna, Debbie, Pam, deputy mayor Rachel and husband Richard.
