Introducing Committee Member Mark Sparling

Mark Sparling has lived and worked in the Tadworth area for 30 years. He joined the Tattenham & Preston Residents Association as a committee member in 2017 and his 30 years experience and know-how is made to good use enabling positive improvements in the Tadworth area for the benefit of the residents.  Through the Residents Association he is able to work alongside three experienced Reigate & Banstead Borough councillors and using his past experience he also liaises with the Raven Housing Trust.

The Pond at Marbles Way

Currently he is involved in:

  • Organising graffiti removal at the Marbles Way shops.
  • Carrying out safety inspections with the Raven Housing estate manager, Andy Chequers. Recommendations have been forwarded for action.
  • Cutting back the sides of the footpath from Fleetwood Close to Marbles Way.
  • Moving the position of the hedgerow at the Preston Lane / Marbles Way junction to improve visibility on the road.
  • Identifying improvements to footpath from Marbles Way to Fleetwood Close
  • Tidying up the area of Marbles Way shops.
  • Identifying illegal flytipping and passing on the location to Raven Housing.
  • Improving the appearance of the Chetwode Road entrance to the path leading ASDA.
  • Tidying up the Merton Flats garage area used as storage by subcontractors.
