Over one hundred children took part in the Tattenham Library’s programme of Easter activities. A range of craft and drama activities were provided free of charge to local children over the Easter holidays.

Library volunteers the event as a way of introducing young people to the library as well as providing activities to keep youngsters occupied during the school holidays. Events included drama workshops. Easter hat making and other Easter crafts. All materials were provided by the library along with refreshments.

Leslie Beard, who helped organise the events, said, “ We were very pleased with the turnout and both mums and children all seemed to have enjoyed themselves. We’ve been told that we were the only library in Surrey to offer these activities but hope others will join us in the future. We are already planning further library activities.”

The library team is already working on a plant sale which is planned for Saturday 14th May. If the weather is good, there will also be tea and cakes available. Please pop long on the day for your garden plants.
