The Tattenham & Preston Residents Association is assisting with the placement of CIL funds to upgrade and improve the facilities and environment in your ward. CIL stands for Community Infrastructure Levy and is a levy on all new developments in the area and is used for the upgrading of infrastructure as required. A proportion is available for the community. See more about CIL here.

Improvements to Environment

The RA organised CIL funding for the upgrading of the very worn and muddy path through Preston Hawe woods.

Burgh Heath Woods

With the assistance of CIL funding sponsored by the councillors in the Residents Association, the Banstead Commons Conservators are working to improve the environment around the Lonesome Ponds for the benefit of the woods and the many users.

The Residents Associaton are promoting an upgrade to the insecure and untidy entrance at Chetwode Road to provide adequate security, a fence, and an information board. More work needs to be done by Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and the Banstead Commons Conservators.

Removal of Unused Containers from Long Walk Carpark

The Residents Association pushed for and were successful in getting seven unused containers removed from the car park at Long Walk, near Chetwode Road.

Preston Infrastructure

CIL funding has been used to improve the roads and other facilities in the Preston area. These include improved parking, new bus shelters and benches , and long overdue road and footpath repairs.
